Kaylee Wheeler Takes State


Collegiate student, Kaylee Wheeler, battling it out in the 100 breastroke.

Kaylee Wheeler, a dedicated Amazon student and swimmer, won the 100 breastroke at the KHSAA State Swim Meet this past Saturday at the Ralph Wright Natatorium. She was entered in 3 other events, all of which she placed in the top percentage of the state swimmers. As her specialty stroke, Kaylee excelled in the 100 breastroke with a time of 1:02.00. This earned her 1st place in the state of Kentucky.

Some of the notable events include the Girls 200 medley relay, the Boys 100 meter breastroke, and the Boys 50 yard freestyle. The Collegiate girls placed 6th overall in the state and the Collegiate boys placed 8th. The combined score of the boys and girls placed 6th. Way to go Titans and Amazons!
