This past Saturday, the Titan and Amazon Cross Country teams headed to Lexington to compete in the Kentucky State Cross Country Meet. The Amazons faced tough competition all around from Walton Verona, Bishop Brossart, and Villa Madonna, the best teams in the state. The team placed 13th overall, and Sidney Ragland placed 31st overall in our region. Way to go girls!

Unfortunately the boys team did not qualify as a whole for the state due conditions at the regional meet. However, the team was fortunate enough to have three of its members qualify individually. Will Hunter, Ethan Henes, and Will Garner had the opportunity to race in the cold and the fog against some of the most talented runners in the state of Kentucky, including the one and only Keeton Thornsberry. Although Keeton took state, Ethan Henes placed 17th, WIll Hunter placed 40th, and Will Garner placed 99th. Although they all received a combined zero medals from the meet, all three agreed that the experience of almost freezing to death was way better than any commendations they could have received. Way to go boys!
